Job Requirements
- Minimum of five years food service supervisory experience in senior living or acute care
- Certified food protection manager (CFPM) certificate meeting Maricopa County Food Code
- Arizona fingerprint clearance card or willingness to obtain one
- Effective communication and empathy with residents, families, visitors, and staff
- Skilled in interpreting menu options and managing dietary requests
- Availability to work five days per week with weekends and occasional holidays
- Willingness to comply with company policies and regulatory requirements
Job Qualifications
- Minimum five years of supervisory experience in food service, preferably in senior living or acute care
- Certified food protection manager (CFPM) certificate as per Maricopa County requirements
- Arizona fingerprint clearance card or willingness to obtain one
- Ability to communicate effectively and empathize with residents, families, and staff
- Skilled in menu interpretation, dietary requests management, and meal service coordination
- Availability to work 5 days a week including some weekends and holidays
Job Duties
- Review new admissions and engage with residents, families, and visitors regarding menu preferences
- Ensure staff compliance with procedures, training completion, and cleaning duties
- Step into various operational roles as needed demonstrating leadership
- Participate in weekly leadership meetings and monthly departmental meetings presenting topics
- Conduct daily rounds maintaining high customer service standards
- Support life services staff with timely food delivery
- Initiate maintenance requests and communicate with supporting departments to resolve issues
- Participate in menu planning that meets residents' needs
- Conduct new hire training, retraining, and cross-training of staff
- Monitor staff attendance and enforce company policies
- Support regulatory surveys, county and mock inspections, making corrections and implementing new guidelines
- Assist with food and supply requisitions, maintaining inventory and emergency supplies
