Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Minimum five years food service supervisory experience in senior living or acute care settings
  • Certified Food Protection Manager certification
  • Valid Arizona fingerprint clearance or willingness to obtain
  • Ability to communicate effectively and empathetically
  • Ability to manage dietary requests and meal coordination
  • Availability to work varied shifts including weekends and holidays
  • Compliance with company policies and procedures

Job Qualifications

  • Minimum of five years food service supervisory experience in senior living or acute care
  • Certified Food Protection Manager (CFPM) certificate per Maricopa County Food Code
  • Arizona fingerprint clearance card or willingness to obtain
  • Strong communication and empathy skills toward residents and families
  • Skilled in menu interpretation, addressing inquiries, and coordinating meal services
  • Availability to work 5 days a week including some weekends and holidays with holiday pay

Job Duties

  • Review new admissions and engage with residents, families, and visitors regarding menus and dining preferences
  • Supervise staff to ensure procedures, training, and cleaning duties are completed
  • Step into various operational roles as needed and demonstrate leadership
  • Participate in weekly leadership and monthly departmental meetings presenting topics
  • Conduct daily rounds ensuring excellent customer service for residents, staff, and visitors
  • Support life service staff with timely food request fulfillment
  • Initiate maintenance requests and communicate with supporting departments
  • Participate in menu planning to meet residents’ needs
  • Train new hires, retrain existing staff, and cross-train team members
  • Monitor staff attendance, lateness, and compliance with company policies
  • Assist with regulatory surveys, inspections, and implement corrective actions
  • Manage inventory, food and supply requisitions, and ensure emergency supplies are maintained
