Job Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in science or related field or four years of relevant experience
- Eight years of experience in health and safety management
- Working knowledge of OSHA regulations and other occupational health and safety standards
- Ability to travel up to 50% within the Southeast region
- Must be able to sit or stand for extended periods
- Ability to independently travel and be present at office or client sites
- Minimum OSHA 10-hour Construction Safety Course preferred
Job Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Science or related field or four years of relevant experience in lieu of degree
- Eight years of experience in health and safety management
- Working knowledge of OSHA regulations and other relevant occupational health and safety standards
- Preferred certifications such as OHST, CHST, ASP, GSP, CSP, CIH
- Ability to analyze data and identify areas for improvement
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and in diverse teams
- Strong organizational and time management skills
- Ability to prioritize, multitask, and pay close attention to detail
- Technical writing and presentation skills
- Experience developing, facilitating, and performing safety trainings
- Familiarity with ISNetWorld and Avetta prequalification systems
- Knowledge of business continuity programs related to natural disasters and pandemics
- OSHA Authorized Trainer for 10-hour/30-hour Construction Health & Safety
Job Duties
- Develop, implement, and monitor the firm’s occupational health and safety management system
- Oversee the administration of the Regional Occupational Medical Monitoring Program
- Manage and oversee the activities of the Regional Safety Coordinators including leading bi-monthly meetings
- Monitor compliance with applicable regulations
- Maintain third-party safety requirements including Federal, State, Local agencies, and client-specific requirements
- Conduct field hazard assessments and prepare reports
- Develop and facilitate safety training for employees
- Aid in the investigation of workplace incidents
- Communicate effectively across all organizational levels
- Research federal regulations and safety standards to develop compliance strategies
- Conduct workstation and ergonomic assessments
- Collaborate with other functional areas such as Legal, HR, and Insurance departments on safety matters
