Job Requirements
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in EHS or related field
- Minimum 5 years of relevant EHS experience
- Strong knowledge of OSHA, EPA, WHMIS, CSA or equivalent regulations
- Professional EHS certification preferred
- Proven experience in multi-site EHS program management
- Ability to lead incident investigations and safety audits
- Excellent communication and organizational skills
- Proficiency with virtual collaboration platforms and safety management systems
- Willingness to participate in emergency response activities and training
- Ability to travel occasionally within Americas
- Based in Austin, TX and able to work Monday through Thursday in the office
- Experience with Americas region operations
Job Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Environmental Health & Safety, Occupational Health, Industrial Hygiene, or related field
- Minimum 5-7 years of progressive EHS experience with at least 2 years in multi-site or regional/global capacity
- Strong knowledge of North American EHS regulations such as OSHA, EPA, WHMIS, CSA
- Professional certification preferred such as CSP, CIH, CHMM, CRSP, NEBOSH, or IOSH
- Experience in ergonomic risk mitigation
- Ability to influence cross-functional teams and drive program adoption
- Excellent communication, analytical, and organizational skills
- Comfortable with data analytics tools and safety management systems
- Ability to engage technical experts and translate findings into actionable insights
- Willingness to be part of the emergency response team
- Willingness to train and certify in First Aid, CPR, and AED
- Ability to travel occasionally within the region
- Experience working within Americas including US, Canada, Mexico
Job Duties
- Develop, implement, and manage EHS programs and policies that comply with regulations and company standards
- Serve as regional subject matter expert for EHS matters, providing guidance to sites and functional teams
- Lead incident investigations, root cause analysis, and corrective/preventive actions
- Devise risk assessments and safety audit templates and track metrics for improvement
- Partner with site leads and cross-functional teams to ensure safe practices across all work environments
- Monitor and communicate changes in EHS laws and regulations and update protocols
- Support global EHS initiatives and align programs across regions
- Lead contractor and vendor safety management and support emergency preparedness planning
- Represent the company in EHS-related interactions with regulatory agencies and auditors
- Oversee company ergonomic efforts and lead Emergency Response Team program
