Job Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in occupational health and safety, construction management, environmental science, or a related field preferred
- 5 to 8 years of experience in construction safety, field safety, or EHS roles
- must be able to travel to various job sites, both locally and out of state
- OSHA 30 certification required
- CHST, CSP, or similar certifications strongly preferred or must be obtained within 1 year of employment
- strong knowledge of OSHA standards and other applicable safety regulations
- demonstrated ability to conduct safety audits, facilitate training, and lead incident investigations
- excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- ability to work independently, travel to inspection locations, and adapt to varying site conditions and schedules
- proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and safety management systems software
Job Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in occupational health and safety, construction management, environmental science, or a related field preferred
- 5 to 8 years of experience in construction safety, field safety, or EHS roles, preferably within multifamily or commercial construction
- OSHA 30 certification required
- CHST, CSP, or similar certifications strongly preferred or must be obtained within 1 year of employment
- strong knowledge of OSHA standards and other applicable safety regulations
- demonstrated ability to conduct safety audits, facilitate training, and lead incident investigations
- excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to influence behavior and build trust across teams
- proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and safety management systems software
Job Duties
- Support the implementation and day-to-day management of JPI's health and safety programs across active construction sites, shops, warehouses, and corporate offices
- partner with construction managers, superintendents, safety consultants, and trade partners to promote and maintain a culture of health and safety
- conduct safety inspections, audits, and risk assessments to ensure compliance with JPI's safety standards and all applicable regulations
- lead the development, delivery, and implementation of safety training, toolbox talks, onboarding programs, and safety communication campaigns
- respond to safety incidents, near misses, and injuries
- lead root cause analyses and implementation of corrective and preventive actions
- maintain accurate records of safety incidents, investigations, and corrective actions
