Job Requirements

  • Associate degree with 2 years of concierge-oriented customer service experience or Bachelor’s degree with 1 year or 3 years concierge customer service experience
  • Experience emphasizing plan of care and assisting customers to select in-network providers
  • Knowledge of medical terminology
  • Experience building trust and providing concierge level of service
  • Clear and concise verbal and written communication skills including motivational interviewing
  • Attention to detail and strong documentation skills
  • Proficiency in web and PC applications

Job Qualifications

  • Associate degree with 2 years of experience or Bachelor’s degree with 1 year of experience or 3 years of concierge-oriented customer service experience
  • Experience emphasizing plan of care and assisting customers to select in-network providers
  • Knowledge of medical terminology
  • Strong communication skills including motivational interviewing
  • Attention to detail and documentation skills
  • Proficiency in web and PC use
  • Preferably associate degree in health science or health studies or Bachelor’s degree
  • Knowledge of HCSC customer service systems, processes, and products
  • 3 years of concierge-oriented customer service experience in insurance
  • Clinical or social work expertise
  • Experience in coordinating medical services
  • Understanding of health benefit plans and insurance industry

Job Duties

  • Provide concierge guidance to members and providers regarding medical, behavioral health, and prescription benefits and claims
  • Assist members in assessing tools and health partner options
  • Schedule provider appointments via phone, webchat, or written communication
  • Act as subject matter expert and support training of colleagues
  • Collaborate with clinicians to navigate healthcare systems and achieve optimal member health
  • Handle special projects as assigned
  • Maintain accurate documentation and communication records
