Job Requirements

  • Associate degree with 2 years of concierge-oriented customer service experience or bachelor’s degree with 1 year or 3 years of concierge-oriented customer service experience
  • Knowledge of medical terminology
  • Experience building trust and providing concierge level service
  • Attention to detail and strong documentation skills
  • Web and PC proficiency
  • Ability to interact effectively with members and physicians using clear and concise verbal and written communication including motivational interviewing
  • Experience assisting customers to select in-network providers and training customers on tools

Job Qualifications

  • Associate degree in health science or health studies or bachelor’s degree
  • Knowledge of HCSC customer service systems, processes and products
  • Experience emphasizing plan of care and assisting customers to select in-network providers
  • Clinical or social work expertise
  • Experience in coordinating medical services
  • Knowledge of health benefit plans and the insurance industry
  • Clear and concise verbal and written communication skills including motivational interviewing

Job Duties

  • Provide concierge guidance and answer questions from members and providers for medical, behavioral health and prescription benefits and claims
  • Assist members in assessing health tools, health partner options, and setting provider appointments through phone, webchat or written communication
  • Serve as a subject matter expert and handle projects or assist in training others
  • Navigate healthcare systems and collaborate with clinicians, behavioral health specialists and pharmacists to help members reach optimal health
  • Maintain accurate documentation with attention to detail
  • Build trust and rapport to deliver concierge-level service
  • Use web and PC proficiency to manage customer interactions
