Job Requirements

Job Duties

  • Maintain kitchen records to comply with food safety programs
  • Monitor kitchen and food inventory levels
  • Decide on food presentation and create decorative food displays
  • Monitor food preparation quantities and portion sizes
  • Set up and divide workstations
  • Prepare ingredients by portioning, chopping, and storing
  • Defrost foods in refrigerator as needed
  • Weigh, measure, and mix ingredients according to recipes
  • Cook and prepare food according to recipes, quality standards, and presentation guidelines
  • Control food quality during preparation
  • Assist management with hiring, training, scheduling, evaluating, counseling, disciplining, motivating, and coaching employees
  • Serve as a role model
  • Comply with all safety and company policies
  • Report accidents, injuries, and unsafe work conditions to management
  • Conduct safety training and obtain certifications
  • Ensure uniforms and personal appearance are clean and professional
  • Greet and acknowledge guests according to company standards
  • Communicate clearly and professionally with others
  • Support the team to achieve common goals
  • Listen and respond appropriately to employee concerns
  • Ensure compliance with quality expectations and standards
  • Perform physical tasks including stretching, bending, twisting, lifting up to 25 pounds
  • Perform other reasonable job duties as requested by supervisors
