Job Requirements
- Must be at least 18 years of age
- Ability to work early morning shifts starting around 4 a.m.
- Physical ability to lift heavy items weighing 50 lbs or more
- Flexibility to adapt to changes in the work environment
- Strong attention to detail in baking and presentation
- Commitment to upholding food safety standards
- Previous leadership experience in a similar role
Job Qualifications
- Over one year of large-scale baking or pastry experience
- Leadership experience in retail or food service
- Knowledge of food handler and sanitation standards
- Experience with inventory management and ordering
- Formal culinary education is a bonus
Job Duties
- Lead the pastry team in preparing a diverse menu of more than 40 fresh baked goods
- Follow recipes and maintain high standards for food quality and presentation
- Lift and handle heavy ingredients including dough and flour
- Adapt to changing work conditions while maintaining focus on product quality
- Start shifts early, often as early as 4 a.m., to ensure freshly baked products
- Manage inventory and ordering for the pastry kitchen
- Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal food safety and sanitation regulations
