Job Requirements

  • Must be at least 18 years of age
  • Ability to work early morning shifts starting around 4 a.m.
  • Physical ability to lift heavy items weighing 50 lbs or more
  • Flexibility to adapt to changes in the work environment
  • Strong attention to detail in baking and presentation
  • Commitment to upholding food safety standards
  • Previous leadership experience in a similar role

Job Qualifications

  • Over one year of large-scale baking or pastry experience
  • Leadership experience in retail or food service
  • Knowledge of food handler and sanitation standards
  • Experience with inventory management and ordering
  • Formal culinary education is a bonus

Job Duties

  • Lead the pastry team in preparing a diverse menu of more than 40 fresh baked goods
  • Follow recipes and maintain high standards for food quality and presentation
  • Lift and handle heavy ingredients including dough and flour
  • Adapt to changing work conditions while maintaining focus on product quality
  • Start shifts early, often as early as 4 a.m., to ensure freshly baked products
  • Manage inventory and ordering for the pastry kitchen
  • Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal food safety and sanitation regulations
