Job Requirements

  • must be at least 18 years old
  • availability for early morning shifts starting as early as 4am
  • ability to lift heavy ingredients weighing 50 lbs or more
  • capacity to stand for extended periods during shifts
  • flexibility to adapt to changes in a fast-paced kitchen environment
  • willingness to commit to a full-time schedule
  • passion for baking and creating high-quality pastries

Job Qualifications

  • minimum 1+ years of large-scale baking and pastry experience
  • demonstrated leadership experience in retail or food service
  • knowledge of and commitment to food handler and sanitation standards compliance
  • experience with inventory management and ordering processes
  • formal culinary education is a plus
  • strong work ethic and attention to detail
  • ability to work early morning shifts consistently

Job Duties

  • lead the pastry kitchen team to prepare a variety of fresh baked pastries, pies, cakes, and muffins
  • ensure recipes are followed precisely while maintaining high standards of food quality
  • oversee lifting and handling of heavy ingredients such as dough and flour
  • maintain compliance with local, state, and federal food safety and sanitation regulations
  • manage inventory, ordering, and supplies to keep the kitchen well-stocked
  • adapt to changes and maintain flexibility in a fast-paced early morning work environment
  • train and mentor kitchen staff to promote career growth and skill development
