Job Requirements
- Minimum of 5 years experience as a Head Pastry Chef or higher
- Excellent communication skills in English both written and verbal
- Ability to maintain and follow recipes, processes and standards
- Drive and ambition with desire to learn and grow within the team
- Full ownership of role responsibilities
- Possession of valid Food Handler Card
- Valid documentation of right to work in the U.S.
Job Qualifications
- Minimum of 5 years experience as a Head Pastry Chef or in a higher pastry role
- Excellent communication skills in English, both written and verbal
- Demonstrated ability to follow recipes, processes, and standards precisely
- Strong drive and ambition with a willingness to learn and grow
- Proven leadership skills with experience training and leading teams
- Possession of a valid Food Handler Card
- Valid documentation to work in the U.S.
Job Duties
- Develop and execute exceptional quality pastry dishes
- Ensure pastry quality meets superior standards and take corrective action when needed
- Create and implement seasonal pastry menu changes in conjunction with senior chefs
- Maintain knowledge of all pastry products and apply culinary techniques skillfully
- Execute pastry recipes in line with SUSHI SAMBA standards
- Maintain compliance with all departmental policies, procedures and standards
- Ensure pastry stations are stocked with specified tools, supplies and equipment
- Direct, train and upskill members of the SUSHI SAMBA pastry team
