Job Requirements
- Master's degree in logistics, supply chain management, or equivalent
- Minimum 10 years experience in similar roles within freight forwarding, aerospace, or manufacturing
- Proven international leadership experience
- Fluent in English both verbal and written
- Eligible to work in the USA as a citizen or Green Card holder
- Able to work on site 60 percent and remotely 40 percent
- Able to travel domestically and internationally up to 10 percent
- Proficiency with Google Suite and Transport Management System
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
- Ability to operate office equipment and handle physical demands including lifting and carrying up to 30 lbs
- Commitment to compliance and integrity
- Willingness to wear required personal protective equipment and follow safety protocols
Job Qualifications
- Master's degree in logistics, supply chain management, or equivalent qualifications with extensive relevant experience
- Minimum 10 years experience in freight forwarding, aerospace, or manufacturing industries
- Proven leadership experience in an international environment
- Strong track record in transport, customs operations, and logistics
- Strong stakeholder management and communication skills
- Proficiency in Google Suite and Transport Management Systems
- Fluent in English both verbal and written
- Preferred certifications include CPL (Certified Logistics Professional) and CTL (Certified in Transportation and Logistics)
- Preferred knowledge of SAP, AEB Transport Management Systems, and customs software
- Additional language skills such as German, French, or Danish preferred
- Experience in aerospace or manufacturing industries preferred
- Demonstrated affinity for data and knowledge of data analytics tools preferred
Job Duties
- Develop people by leading and mentoring teams in Dulles and Miami fostering continuous improvement culture
- Command operations by steering global transport and customs service providers to ensure highest performance standards
- Own compliance by driving the evolution and flawless execution of customs operations governance ensuring regulatory compliance
- Innovate and improve global air, sea, and road freight products and enhance transport and customs processes for efficiency
- Transform by spearheading regional deployment of global 4PL operating model and Transport Management System contributing to global logistics transformation
- Ensure strong partnerships by developing long-term relationships with external service providers and internal stakeholders
- Represent Global Head of Transport and Customs Operations in regional management meetings projects and initiatives
