Job Requirements
- BS degree in computer science, engineering, or related field
- At least 8 years of experience in automotive, transportation, aerospace, robotics or other safety-focused or regulated industries
- Deep technical expertise in safety engineering
- Experience with autonomous technology
- Excellent communication skills
- Strong problem-solving abilities
- Experience with data analysis
- Knowledge of risk management and reliability functions
Job Qualifications
- BS degree in computer science, engineering, or related field with at least 8 years of experience in automotive, transportation, aerospace, robotics or other safety-focused or regulated industries
- Deep technical expertise in safety engineering, preferably in a high-tech environment with experience in autonomous technology
- Excellent communication skills to articulate safety strategies and engage with partners, regulators, and stakeholders
- Ability to identify and solve complex safety problems
- Hands-on skills of working with data analysis
- Experience with and understanding of risk and reliability functions
Job Duties
- Lead the development and implementation of comprehensive safety strategies for delivery operations including autonomous vehicle systems
- Lead safety assessments, audits, and inspections and oversee risk management processes
- Define and articulate the company's safety vision and strategy ensuring alignment with requirements and best practices
- Build and manage a team addressing various safety needs including Trust and Safety
- Work cross-functionally with engineering, product, and operations leads and safety committee to address safety needs
- Oversee and manage safety-related projects such as structured testing programs and facilities ensuring timely and budget-compliant completion
- Communicate safety strategy and vision to partners, regulators, industry bodies, and public
- Develop and implement safety training programs for employees and stakeholders
- Investigate accidents and incidents, identify root causes, and recommend corrective actions
