Job Requirements
- bachelors degree or equivalent experience
- 3-5 years experience in logistics and operations, particularly with China
- understanding of international shipping challenges
- knowledge of customs clearance, tariffs, freight claims, insurance and federal/state requirements
- recruiting and hiring experience
- willingness to travel internationally
- results-driven and analytical thinker
- self-starter
- strong communication and leadership skills
Job Qualifications
- bachelors degree or equivalent experience
- 3-5 years experience in operations and logistics with focus on Asia or 3+ years in strategy consulting with logistics exposure
- knowledge of customs clearance, tariffs, freight claims, insurance, and regulatory requirements
- experience in recruiting and hiring
- passion for logistics and technology
- strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- self-starter with ability to work independently
- experience managing distributed teams
- fluency in Mandarin is a plus
- consulting experience is beneficial
- freight forwarding or 3PL experience is desirable
- early-stage startup experience is an advantage
Job Duties
- oversee end-to-end operations process for international freight
- build and scale agile operations teams to improve efficiency
- manage relationships with service providers to ensure seamless customer experience
- identify operational inefficiencies and implement solutions
- recruit, hire, and manage distributed teams
- travel internationally to Asia, Europe, and South America to support operations
- maintain positive company culture and drive results
