Job Requirements

  • Three years of experience in an occupational field related to the work assigned
  • relevant education may substitute for experience on a year-for-year basis
  • Servsafe certified or ability to obtain certification within 6 months of hire and maintain certification
  • ability to work in a team driven environment
  • attention to detail

  • one year culinary experience in fast-paced university or institutional food service operation preferred
  • bakery or catering experience preferred

Job Duties

  • Prepare, assemble and delegate food preparation tasks
  • assist with the setup and breakdown of production and service areas
  • understand and use a variety of equipment and service standards as appropriate
  • follow and enforce set food safety protocol in all areas of oversight
  • ensure cleanliness and quality of back-of-house service areas
  • provide excellent customer service and assist with customer needs and inquiries
  • lead by example in work ethic and positive demeanor
  • display and demonstrate excellent communication skills
  • follow all ParTech and A9 labeling procedures and recognize allergen errors
  • fully comprehend allergen labeling protocol including avoidance of cross contact and report concerns to supervisor
  • serve on the food safety response team and respond to emergencies
  • train new full-time and student staff members
  • empower team members to make decisions within their control
  • make scheduling recommendations and alert management to staffing issues
  • hold staff accountable following progressive coaching process
  • discuss staff issues with supervisors and managers
