Job Requirements

  • Three years of experience in an occupational field related to the work assigned to the position
  • relevant education may substitute for the required experience on a year-for-year basis
  • Servsafe certified and/or certificate appropriate for the position level or the ability to obtain certification within 6 months of hire
  • must possess appropriate Servsafe certification or certificate appropriate to position level for the duration of employment with Campus Dining Services

Job Qualifications

  • Three years of experience in an occupational field related to the work assigned to the position

  • ability to work in a team driven environment
  • attention to detail
  • one year culinary experience in fast-paced university or institutional food service operation preferred
  • bakery production experience preferred
  • catering experience preferred

Job Duties

  • Prepare, assemble and delegate food preparation tasks
  • assist with the setup and breakdown of production and service areas
  • understand and use a variety of equipment and service standards as appropriate
  • follow and enforce set food safety protocol in all areas of oversight
  • ensure cleanliness and quality of back-of-house service areas
  • provide excellent customer service and assist with customer needs and inquiries
  • train new staff members, both full time and student employees
