Job Requirements

  • Three years of experience in an occupational field related to the work assigned to the position
  • relevant education may substitute for required experience on a year-for-year basis
  • must possess or obtain Servsafe certification within 6 months of hire
  • ability to work in a team driven environment
  • attention to detail

Job Qualifications

  • Three years of experience in an occupational field related to the work assigned to the position
  • Servsafe certified or certification appropriate for the position level or ability to obtain within 6 months
  • one year culinary experience in fast-paced university or institutional food service operation preferred
  • knowledge of bakery production and catering experience beneficial
  • excellent communication skills
  • ability to lead and train staff
  • strong attention to detail

Job Duties

  • Prepare, assemble and delegate food preparation tasks
  • assist with the setup and breakdown of production and service areas
  • understand and use a variety of equipment and service standards as appropriate
  • follow and enforce set food safety protocol in all areas of oversight
  • ensure cleanliness and quality of back-of-house service areas
  • provide excellent customer service and assist with customer needs and inquiries
  • lead by example both in work ethic and positive demeanor
