Job Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree from four-year college or university or equivalent experience
- Three to five years related experience and/or training
- Class A PGA/LPGA membership
- Ability to read and speak English
- Experience with Microsoft Office
- Experience with computerized POS and tee time systems
- Capability to work in outdoor weather conditions
- Physical ability to stand, walk, occasionally lift up to 50 pounds
- Commitment to safety and guest satisfaction
Job Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
- Class A member of PGA or LPGA
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications
- Experience with computerized POS and tee time systems
- Strong leadership and communication skills
- Ability to provide golf instruction and conduct clinics
- Knowledge of golf rules and operations
- Customer service orientation
Job Duties
- Oversees golf operations including tournaments, rules, tee sheet activity, merchandise inventory, range operations, player service operations, and cart fleet
- Assists in the development and tracking of the budget and business plan
- Creates a customer service oriented atmosphere that promotes golf and meets members’ needs
- Works closely with the Superintendent and Food and Beverage Manager daily
- Prepares work schedules and assigns responsibilities
- Performs payroll tasks and monitors hours
- Provides leadership and vision to golf staff
- Provides golf instruction through lessons and clinics
- Responsible for interviewing, hiring, training, assigning, evaluating, rewarding, and disciplining staff
- Manages department members including Assistant and Associate Golf Professionals, Teaching Professionals, Tournament Coordinator, and Guest Services Attendants
- Develops ongoing training programs
- Monitors business volume to plan manpower, productivity, and costs
- Implements and maintains excellent guest service
- Incorporates safe work practices
- Maintains regular and reliable attendance
- Performs other duties as required
