Job Requirements

  • Valid driver’s license
  • Pre-employment drug screen
  • Background check
  • Ability to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds frequently and more than 100 pounds occasionally
  • Ability to work Monday through Friday from 6am to 2:30pm
  • Ability to travel between multiple facility locations as scheduled
  • Ability to perform physically demanding tasks
  • High school diploma or equivalent

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Any combination of experience and training demonstrating knowledge and ability in custodial services
  • Working knowledge of custodial equipment, materials and supplies
  • Ability to use equipment and tools properly and safely
  • Ability to work independently and complete tasks according to schedule
  • Ability to communicate effectively orally and in writing
  • Ability to understand, follow and transmit written and oral instructions
  • Ability to establish effective working relationships with employees, supervisors, and the public

Job Duties

  • Perform daily detail cleaning of restrooms at community parks
  • Perform weekly cleaning of office spaces at Morris Performing Arts Center
  • Conduct daily cleaning of restrooms at Morris Performing Arts Center, Palais Royale and Raclin Murphy Encore Center
  • Sweep, vacuum, mop, dust, strip, wax, polish and buff floors
  • Clean carpets, furniture, windows, walls, metal and woodwork
  • Clean and sanitize restrooms and replenish supplies
  • Pick up litter from grounds and around buildings
  • Dump garbage and reline garbage cans
  • Inspect and maintain custodial equipment and tools
  • Assist Superintendent III with monthly facility inspections and repair requests
  • Open, close, lock and unlock facilities as needed
  • Keep records of completed daily work
