Job Requirements
- Valid driver’s license
- Pre-employment drug screen
- Background check
- Ability to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds frequently and more than 100 pounds occasionally
- Ability to work Monday through Friday from 6am to 2:30pm
- Ability to travel between multiple facility locations as scheduled
- Ability to perform physically demanding tasks
- High school diploma or equivalent
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Any combination of experience and training demonstrating knowledge and ability in custodial services
- Working knowledge of custodial equipment, materials and supplies
- Ability to use equipment and tools properly and safely
- Ability to work independently and complete tasks according to schedule
- Ability to communicate effectively orally and in writing
- Ability to understand, follow and transmit written and oral instructions
- Ability to establish effective working relationships with employees, supervisors, and the public
Job Duties
- Perform daily detail cleaning of restrooms at community parks
- Perform weekly cleaning of office spaces at Morris Performing Arts Center
- Conduct daily cleaning of restrooms at Morris Performing Arts Center, Palais Royale and Raclin Murphy Encore Center
- Sweep, vacuum, mop, dust, strip, wax, polish and buff floors
- Clean carpets, furniture, windows, walls, metal and woodwork
- Clean and sanitize restrooms and replenish supplies
- Pick up litter from grounds and around buildings
- Dump garbage and reline garbage cans
- Inspect and maintain custodial equipment and tools
- Assist Superintendent III with monthly facility inspections and repair requests
- Open, close, lock and unlock facilities as needed
- Keep records of completed daily work
