Job Requirements
- 18 years or older
- high school diploma or general education degree (GED) required
- experience in kitchen including food preparation and kitchen routine
- bilingual Spanish/English or Navajo/English preferred
- ability to obtain First Aid and BLS/CPR certifications within 30 days of hire
- successful completion of health exam and annual health exams thereafter
- TB test and testing upon exposure
- criminal records check

Job Duties
- Prepare meals according to menus
- oversee all phases of kitchen operation in compliance with USDA Child and Adult Care Food Program, Head Start/Early Head Start Nutrition Performance Standards, and New Mexico Child Care licensing regulations
- maintain kitchen cleanliness and safety standards
- manage kitchen staff and coordinate food preparation activities
- monitor food quality and ensure proper portion control
- follow health and safety protocols including food handling and storage
- assist with inventory management and ordering supplies
