Job Requirements
- 18 years or older
- high school diploma or general education degree (GED)
- experience in kitchen work including food preparation and kitchen routine
- bilingual Spanish/English or Navajo/English preferred
- ability to obtain First Aid and BLS/CPR certifications within 30 days of hire
- successful completion of health exam and annual exams thereafter
- TB test and upon exposure
- criminal records check

Job Duties
- Prepare meals according to prescribed menus
- oversee all phases of kitchen operations ensuring compliance with USDA Child and Adult Care Food Program standards
- adhere to Head Start and Early Head Start Nutrition Performance Standards
- maintain compliance with New Mexico Child Care licensing regulations
- possibly reassign to various centers as program operational needs arise
- ensure kitchen cleanliness and safety at all times
- manage food inventory and order supplies as needed
