Job Duties
- perform routine manual work as directed by the cook manager or food service director
- requisition weekly food items and materials
- keep simple records related to temperatures of hot, cold, and refrigerated foods
- complete production records in a timely manner
- utilize proper methods of preparing and serving food with adherence to sanitation and food handling techniques
- set up serving lines with food and utensils while maintaining proper temperatures
- prepare salads, fruit bowls, and other cold side dishes
- act as cashier or server as directed
- wash dishes, pots, and pans by hand or machine
- sanitize food contact surfaces after service or as needed
- clean ovens and milk coolers
- serve breakfast and/or lunch items according to federal and state guidelines
- perform physical tasks including lifting, reaching, carrying, stooping, bending, and squatting
- stand for prolonged periods
- work under conditions of extreme heat and exposure to fumes and odors
- demonstrate ability to follow oral and written directions
- show effective interpersonal skills
- perform related duties as required
