Job Requirements

  • At least two years of kitchen manager experience required
  • Equivalent combination of relevant education and/or experience considered
  • Ability to work in high-stress environment
  • Proficient interpersonal relations and communicative skills
  • Cooperates and works together with all co-workers
  • Plans and completes job duties with minimal supervisory direction, including appropriate judgment

Job Qualifications

  • At least two years of kitchen manager experience
  • Relevant culinary education or equivalent experience
  • Certification in Serve Safe or other recognized food safety qualification
  • Strong leadership and team management skills
  • Proficient interpersonal and communication skills
  • Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment
  • Competency in food cost control and inventory management
  • Experience with kitchen equipment maintenance and safety protocols

Job Duties

  • Oversees kitchen and back-of-house operations ensuring safe and efficient food preparation according to company standards
  • Ensures compliance with health, safety, and hygiene codes maintaining a Department of Health score of 95 or better
  • Maintains certifications such as Serve Safe or equivalent
  • Promotes a safe working environment implementing proper safety measures
  • Motivates and develops kitchen team fostering a positive and productive atmosphere
  • Manages labor and scheduling to meet business needs and labor standards
  • Controls ordering, production, and waste to maintain food cost standards
  • Supervises stocking and purchasing of ingredients ensuring freshness and minimizing spoilage
  • Maintains kitchen equipment and recommends necessary repairs or replacements
  • Collaborates with front-of-house management to enhance guest experience
  • Maintains kitchen budget and conducts periodic inventory
  • Performs cooking, prep, and quality control tasks as needed
  • Executes other job-related duties as assigned
