Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Proven culinary experience in a supervisory role
- Ability to work afternoons, evenings, weekends, and holidays
- Physical ability to stand for long periods and lift up to 25 pounds
- Commitment to follow HSEQ policies and procedures
- Ability to communicate effectively in English
- Willingness to participate in ongoing training

Job Qualifications
- ServSafe certified or ability to become ServSafe certified
- Graduate of an accredited culinary institution preferred
- Experience operating a successful restaurant or corporate dining facility
- Strong leadership and team management skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
- Knowledge of OSHA, HACCP, and Health Department regulations
- Ability to train and develop staff
- Skilled in inventory management and cost control
- Positive attitude and customer service orientation
- Dependable and able to work under pressure
Job Duties
- Ensure kitchen organization and cleanliness provide a safe environment
- Follow workplace safety guidelines, policies, and SOPs daily
- Adhere to food safety guidelines, policies, and SOPs daily
- Follow HACCP guidelines, policies, and SOPs daily
- Follow all internal audit guidelines, policies, and SOPs daily
- Provide the highest quality of service according to ISS/Guckenheimer and client standards
- Utilize food preparation procedures according to applicable federal, state, and local regulations
- Assist the Executive Chef with administrative duties including attendance and human resources
- Monitor and review HACCP logs
- Assemble ready-to-eat menu items in accordance with recipes and presentation standards
- Clean and sanitize work areas and equipment according to regulatory rules
- Support management in taking monthly inventory
- Notify management of concerns regarding product quantities or safety
- Attend daily meetings
- Report all accidents and injuries promptly
- Perform additional duties as assigned
- Ensure high-quality food items are creatively prepared and cost-effective
- Follow Guckenheimer's food standards guidelines
- Purchase products and ingredients according to purchasing standards and sustainability commitments
- Ensure display, catering, and café service meet account standards
- Dispose of kitchen waste properly in a sustainable manner
- Train and supervise staff
- Enforce uniform standards per employee handbook and account guidelines
- Assist in staff reviews, coaching, and disciplinary actions
- Document training standards for direct hires
- Represent the company professionally in all interactions
- Resolve customer complaints in a friendly manner
- Communicate with clients honestly and timely
- Review weekly participation and make budget-related recommendations
- Monitor labor with business forecasts and budget
- Ensure food cost meets budget goals weekly
- Oversee café appearance and upkeep
- Supervise food presentation
- Maintain fresh and seasonal décor standards
- Edit daily signage for accuracy and allergens
