Job Requirements

  • High school diploma
  • 2 to 5 years management experience in food service preferred
  • Current CPR/First Aid certification
  • Current Handle with Care Physical Holding Certification
  • Current Food Handler and Safeserve certification
  • Valid Class C Texas Driver's License
  • Knowledge of industry standards related to healthcare facility cooking
  • Ability to maintain self-control in volatile situations
  • Capable of independent work with minimal supervision
  • Understanding of developmental milestones for adolescents and young adults

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma
  • 2 to 5 years management experience in food service preferred

  • Proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel

Job Duties

  • Lead and manage kitchen staff to ensure quality cooking and preparation
  • Oversee food purchasing, portion control, and cost management
  • Maintain proper sanitation and cleanliness standards in the kitchen
  • Plan and coordinate weekly meal schedules following dietary guidelines
  • Conduct regular equipment checks and report maintenance needs
  • Train and communicate food handling standards to residential services staff
  • Teach dietary needs and cooking skills as part of the life skills curriculum
