Job Requirements
- Associate degree preferred
- Six months to one-year related experience and/or training or equivalent
- Combination of education and experience
- Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Availability to work weekends and holidays
- Ability to lift and/or move up to 50lbs occasionally
- Commitment to safe work practices
- Regular and reliable attendance

Job Duties
- Ensures and executes proper preparation, cooking and plating of menu items
- Inspects, selects, and uses only the freshest produce and food products to maintain high standards
- Writes, maintains, and updates menu specifications, recipes, and production forecasts
- Prepares requisitions for supplies and food items
- Observes production flow to adhere to cost and quality control procedures
- Ensures proper receiving, storage, and rotation of food products in compliance with health regulations
- Monitors kitchen equipment cleanliness and functionality
- Identifies repair needs and ensures timely maintenance
- Interviews, hires, trains, plans, assigns, directs work, evaluates performance, rewards, and disciplines kitchen staff
- Manages department members such as Sous Chef, Cooks, Kitchen Porters, and Receivers
- Provides effective orientation and ongoing training to staff
- Monitors business volume forecasts and resource planning
- Incorporates safe work practices
- Maintains regular and reliable attendance
- Performs other duties as required
