Job Requirements
- High school diploma, GED or equivalent preferred
- one year of cashiering experience preferred
- one year of supervising others preferred
- ability to pass food safety training courses and maintain compliance
- ability to manage changing priorities and focus on tasks
- excellent customer service skills
- ability to take direction and follow through
- must be cashier trained and able to count currency
- proficient in MS Word, Excel and Outlook

Job Duties
- Providing world class customer service and a positive customer experience as the number one priority
- exemplifying integrity, responsibility, and excellence and adhering to all policies
- training all cashiers and ensuring communication about the {N}Power program with customers, notifying customers about donations for reusable bags, educating customers on nutritional information, promoting store seminars and events
- completing the daily sales report and cashier closeout responsibilities
- issuing and verifying cash drawers
- handling returns and overrides at the front end
- addressing customer complaints appropriately
- ensuring front end sets are full and well-maintained
- overseeing completion of the front end task list daily
- maintaining all register binders
- directing cashiers to tasks during slow times
- performing general cashiering and check out duties including running a cash register, bagging/boxing groceries, and providing carry out service
- monitoring, assigning and performing cart checks
- answering the telephone
- assisting in managing special orders
- monitoring, assigning and grinding nut butters
- learning products' locations to direct customers
- participating in tagging, facing, rotating, cleaning, markdowns, stocking, and backstock as needed
- working a schedule based on store needs which includes evenings, weekends, holidays
- attending mandatory store meetings
