Job Requirements
- Must lift/carry product weighing up to 30 lbs for distances up to 3 feet without mechanical assistance
- Must use both hands to move grocery carts requiring a force up to 35 lbs for distances up to 4 feet
- Be able to read, write and count
- Be able to work in a team environment
- Have good organizational skills and prioritization ability
Job Qualifications
- Be at least 18 years of age
- Possess a high school diploma or GED
- Have 1-2 years of recent cashiering experience supplemented with leadership training
- Be dependable and reliable with the ability to work flexible schedules including nights, weekends, and holidays
- Have outgoing and friendly behavior with a positive attitude
- Ability to operate front end equipment including register, calculator, scanner
- Have good communication skills and ability to take direction and constructive criticism
- Be able to perform repetitious activities and multitask
- Have strong attention to detail and proficiency with numbers
Job Duties
- Ensure excellent customer service through proactively visiting registers and providing direction/support to Cashiers and Courtesy Clerks
- Assist in potential customer assistance issues at the register
- Assign store sweeps, monitor/maintain cash register supply levels and maintain cleanliness standards in the restrooms and parking lots
- Maintain visibility of the exit doors for security and loss prevention issues
- Schedule and oversee proper execution of appropriate meal and rest breaks in compliance with company policy and state requirements
- Assist in the hiring and training of new Cashiers and taking necessary steps for disciplinary actions
- Thrive in a fast-paced environment
