Job Requirements
- High School diploma or GED
- at least 1 year of cashiering experience
- at least 1 year of supervisory experience
- able to pass and maintain food safety certifications
- ability to manage changing priorities and stay focused
- excellent customer service skills
- cashier trained and able to count money
- proficient in MS Word, Excel and Outlook
- flexible to work evenings, weekends and holidays
- able to lift and carry up to 50 lbs occasionally with team lift
- able to push or pull up to 100 lbs occasionally
- able to stand, walk, bend, grip, reach, squat, kneel, climb as needed
- able to work in various environmental conditions including dust, noise, cold, heat, and humidity
Job Qualifications
- High School diploma, GED or equivalent preferred
- experience in retail or grocery environment preferred
- 1 year of cashiering experience preferred
- 1 year of supervising others preferred
- ability to pass food safety training courses and maintain compliance
- excellent customer service skills
- highly organized with great attention to detail
- ability to take direction and follow through
- must be cashier trained and able to count currency
- proficient in MS Word, Excel and Outlook
Job Duties
- Providing World Class Customer Service and a positive customer experience as the number one priority
- exemplifying integrity, responsibility, and excellence and adhering to all policies
- training of all cashiers and ensuring cashiers are knowledgeable about company programs
- completing the Daily Sales Report and cashier closeout responsibilities
- issuing and verifying cash drawers
- handling returns and overrides at the front end
- addressing customer complaints appropriately
- ensuring that front end sets are full and well-maintained
- overseeing completion of the front end task list daily
- maintaining all register binders
- directing cashiers to tasks during slow times
- general cashiering and checkout duties including running a cash register and providing carry out service
- monitoring, assigning and performing cart checks
- assisting in managing special orders
- learning product locations in all departments to direct customers
- participating in tagging, facing, rotating, cleaning, markdowns, stocking, and backstock as needed
- working a schedule based on store needs including evenings, weekends, holidays
