Job Requirements
- High school diploma, GED or equivalent preferred
- Experience in retail or grocery environment preferred
- One year of cashiering experience preferred
- One year of supervising others preferred
- Ability to pass food safety training courses and maintain compliance
- Ability to manage changing priorities and stay focused
- Sense of urgency in task completion
- Excellent customer service skills
- Highly organized with great attention to detail
- Ability to take direction and follow through
- Must be cashier trained and able to count currency
- Proficient in MS Word, Excel and Outlook
Job Qualifications

Job Duties
- Provide World Class Customer Service and a positive customer experience as the number one priority
- Exemplify integrity, responsibility, and excellence and adhere to all policies
- Train all cashiers and ensure cashiers communicate about the {N}Power program with customers
- Notify customers that the store donates $0.05 to the local food bank for every reusable bag transaction
- Educate customers on the Nutrient to Know About
- Promote store seminars and events
- Complete the Daily Sales Report (DSR) and cashier closeout responsibilities
- Issue and verify cash drawers
- Handle returns and overrides at the front end
- Address customer complaints appropriately
- Ensure front end sets are full and well-maintained
- Oversee completion of the front end task list daily
- Maintain all registers binders
- Direct cashiers to tasks during slow times at the register
- Perform general cashiering and checkout duties including running cash registers, bagging/boxing groceries, and providing carry out service
- Monitor, assign, and perform cart checks
- Answer the telephone
- Assist in managing special orders
- Monitor, assign and grind nut butters
- Learn the location of products in all store departments to direct customers
- Participate in tagging, facing, rotating, cleaning, markdowns, stocking, and backstock as needed
- Work a schedule based on store needs including evenings, weekends, holidays
- Attend mandatory store meetings
- Take a hands-on approach and complete all tasks assigned by managers
