Job Requirements
- High School diploma, GED or equivalent preferred
- Experience in retail, especially grocery or natural foods preferred
- One year of cashiering experience preferred
- One year of supervising others preferred
- Ability to pass food safety training or certifications as required and maintain compliance
- Ability to manage changing priorities and stay focused
- Sense of urgency in task completion
- Excellent customer service skills
- Highly organized with attention to detail
- Ability to take direction and follow through
- Must be cashier trained and able to count currency
- Proficient in MS Word, Excel, and Outlook

Job Duties
- Providing world class customer service and a positive customer experience as the number one priority
- Exemplifying integrity, responsibility, and excellence and adhering to all policies
- Training all cashiers and ensuring they communicate about the {N}Power program, notify customers about reusable bag donations, educate on Nutrient to Know About, and promote store seminars and events
- Completing daily sales report and cashier closeout responsibilities
- Issuing and verifying cash drawers
- Handling returns and overrides
- Addressing customer complaints appropriately
- Ensuring front end sets are full and well-maintained
- Overseeing completion of daily front end task list
- Maintaining all registers binders
- Directing cashiers to tasks during slow times
- Performing general cashiering and checkout duties including running registers, bagging groceries, and providing carry-out service
- Monitoring and assigning cart checks
- Answering the telephone
- Assisting in managing special orders
- Monitoring and grinding nut butters
- Learning product locations in all departments to assist customers
- Participating in tagging, facing, rotating, cleaning, markdowns, stocking, and backstock as needed
- Working a schedule based on store needs including evenings, weekends, and holidays
- Understanding this position has limited Manager on Duty responsibilities but is never the overall Manager on Duty for the store
