Job Requirements
- High school diploma or GED preferred
- at least one year cashiering experience preferred
- one year of supervisory experience preferred
- ability to pass and maintain food safety certification
- ability to manage multiple priorities
- strong customer service skills
- proficiency in MS Word, Excel, and Outlook
- ability to stand and walk for extended periods
- physical capability to lift up to 50 pounds occasionally
- willingness to work evenings, weekends, and holidays
- availability for a 40-hour work week
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma, GED or equivalent preferred
- experience in retail or grocery environment preferred
- natural foods background is a plus
- one year of cashiering experience preferred
- one year of supervising others preferred
- ability to pass food safety training courses or certifications and maintain compliance
- ability to manage changing priorities and stay focused

- excellent customer service skills
- highly organized with attention to detail

Job Duties
- Providing World Class Customer Service and a positive customer experience as the number one priority
- exemplifying integrity, responsibility, and excellence and adhering to all policies
- training all cashiers and ensuring they communicate about the power program with customers
- notifying customers about donations to the local foodbank for reusable bag transactions
- educating customers on nutritional information
- promoting store seminars and events
- completing the Daily Sales Report and cashier closeout responsibilities
- issuing and verifying cash drawers
- handling returns and overrides at the front end
- addressing customer complaints appropriately
- ensuring front end sets are full and well-maintained
- overseeing completion of the front end task list daily
- maintaining all register binders
- directing cashiers to tasks during slow times
- performing general cashiering and check out duties including running the register, bagging groceries, and providing carry out service
- monitoring and assigning cart checks
- answering the telephone
- assisting in managing special orders
- monitoring, assigning, and grinding nut butters
- learning product locations to direct customers
- participating in tagging, facing, rotating, cleaning, markdowns, stocking, and backstock as needed
- working a schedule based on store needs including evenings, weekends, and holidays
