Job Requirements
- Ability to lift or carry up to 10 lbs constantly, 11-20 lbs frequently, 21-50 lbs occasionally, and 51-100 lbs occasionally with a team lift
- ability to push or pull up to 15 lbs frequently and 16-100 lbs occasionally
- ability to use a computer for data entry and mouse occasionally
- ability to walk, stand, use fine motor skills, grip, bend, twist, turn, and reach outward constantly
- ability to reach above chest frequently
- ability to sit, squat, kneel, and climb occasionally
- ability to work with sharp tools, dust, fumes, and congested worksite frequently

Job Qualifications
- High School diploma, GED or equivalent preferred
- experience in retail, grocery or natural foods environment preferred
- one year of cashiering experience preferred
- one year of supervising others preferred
- ability to pass food safety training courses and maintain certifications
- ability to manage changing priorities and stay focused
- sense of urgency in task completion
- excellent customer service skills
- highly organized with attention to detail
- ability to take direction and follow through
- cashier trained and able to count currency
- proficient in MS Word, Excel, and Outlook
Job Duties
- Providing World Class Customer Service and a positive customer experience as the number one priority
- exemplifying integrity, responsibility, and excellence and adhering to all policies
- training of all cashiers and ensuring cashiers are properly instructed
- communicating about the {N} Power program with customers
- notifying customers about local foodbank donations for reusable bag use
- educating customers on health nutrients
- promoting store seminars and events
- completing Daily Sales Report and cashier closeout responsibilities
- issuing and verifying cash drawers
- handling returns and overrides at the front end
- addressing customer complaints appropriately
- ensuring front end sets are full and well-maintained
- overseeing completion of the front end task list daily
- maintaining all registers binders
- directing cashiers to tasks during slow times
- general cashiering and checkout duties including operating cash register, bagging/boxing groceries, providing carry out service
- monitoring, assigning, and performing cart checks
- answering the telephone
- assisting in managing special orders
- monitoring, assigning, and grinding nut butters
- learning product locations in all departments to direct customers
- participating in tagging, facing, rotating, cleaning, markdowns, stocking, and backstock as needed
- working a schedule based on store needs including evenings, weekends, holidays
- performing limited Manager on Duty duties but not the overall Manager on Duty
