Job Requirements
- High school diploma, GED or equivalent preferred
- at least 1 year cashiering experience preferred
- at least 1 year supervisory experience preferred
- ability to pass food safety training and maintain certifications
- competent in cash handling and currency counting
- proficient in MS Word, Excel, and Outlook
- availability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as scheduled
- physical ability to lift and carry light to moderate weights frequently and occasionally lift heavier weights with assistance
- ability to stand, walk, bend, twist and reach for extended periods
- able to work in environments with varying physical demands including noise, temperature fluctuations, and use of sharp tools
- excellent customer service orientation
- strong organizational skills
- ability to follow company policies and procedures
Job Qualifications

- experience in retail, preferably in grocery or natural foods environments
- minimum 1 year cashiering experience preferred
- at least 1 year supervising others preferred

- strong organizational skills with great attention to detail

- cashier trained and able to count currency

Job Duties
- Providing World Class Customer Service and a positive customer experience as the number one priority
- exemplifying integrity, responsibility, and excellence and adhering to all policies
- training all cashiers and ensuring effective communication about the N Power program, reusable bag donations, Nutrient to Know About education, and store events
- completing the Daily Sales Report and cashier closeout duties
- issuing and verifying cash drawers
- handling returns and overrides at the front end
- addressing customer complaints appropriately
- ensuring that front end displays are full and well-maintained
- overseeing completion of the front end daily task list
- maintaining all register binders
- directing cashiers to tasks during slow times
- performing general cashiering and checkout duties including running registers, bagging groceries, and providing carry-out service
- monitoring, assigning, and performing cart checks
- answering telephone calls
- assisting in managing special orders
- monitoring, assigning, and grinding nut butters
- learning product locations across departments to assist customers
- participating in tagging, facing, rotating, cleaning, markdowns, stocking, and backstock as needed
- working a flexible schedule including evenings, weekends, and holidays for 40 hours per week
- supporting store operations with hands-on efforts to ensure overall success
