Job Requirements
- High School diploma, GED or equivalent preferred
- 1 year of cashiering experience preferred
- 1 year of supervising others preferred
- ability to pass food safety training courses and/or certifications and keep them up to date
- ability to manage changing priorities and remain focused
- sense of urgency in task completion
- excellent customer service skills
- highly organized and detail oriented
- ability to take direction and follow through
- must be cashier trained and able to count currency
- proficient in MS Word, Excel, and Outlook
Job Qualifications

- natural foods background a plus
- 1 year of cashiering experience preferred
- 1 year of supervising others preferred
- ability to pass and maintain food safety training or certifications as required by law

Job Duties
- Providing World Class Customer Service and a positive customer experience as the number one priority
- exemplifying integrity, responsibility, and excellence and adhering to all policies
- training all cashiers and ensuring they communicate about the {N}Power program with customers
- notifying customers about local food bank donations for reusable bags
- educating customers on nutritional information
- promoting store seminars and events
- completing the Daily Sales Report and cashier closeout responsibilities
- issuing and verifying cash drawers
- handling returns and overrides
- addressing customer complaints appropriately
- ensuring front end sets are full and well-maintained
- overseeing completion of the front end task list daily
- maintaining all register binders
- directing cashiers to tasks during slow times
- performing general cashiering and check out duties including running a cash register, bagging/boxing groceries, and providing carry out service
- monitoring, assigning and performing cart checks
- answering the telephone
- assisting in managing special orders
- monitoring, assigning and grinding nut butters
- learning product locations across departments to assist customers
- participating in tagging, facing, rotating, cleaning, markdowns, stocking, and backstock as needed
- working a schedule including evenings, weekends, holidays
- supporting the store but not serving as overall Manager on Duty
