Job Requirements
- High school diploma, GED or equivalent preferred
- experience in retail in grocery or retail environment preferred
- one year of cashiering experience preferred
- one year of supervising others preferred
- ability to pass food safety training and/or certifications and maintain compliance
- ability to manage changing priorities and stay focused
- sense of urgency in task completion
- excellent customer service skills
- highly organized
- ability to take direction and follow through
- must be cashier trained and able to count currency
- proficient in MS Word, Excel, and Outlook

Job Duties
- Providing world class customer service and a positive customer experience as the number one priority
- exemplifying integrity, responsibility, and excellence and adhering to all policies
- training all cashiers and ensuring communication about the {N}Power program with customers
- notifying customers about donations to the local food bank for reusable bag use
- educating customers on nutritional information
- promoting store seminars and events
- completing the Daily Sales Report and cashier closeout responsibilities
- issuing and verifying cash drawers
- handling returns and overrides at the front end
- addressing customer complaints appropriately
- ensuring that front end sets are full and well-maintained
- overseeing completion of the front end task list daily
- maintaining all register binders
- directing cashiers to tasks during slow times at the register
- performing general cashiering duties including running cash registers, bagging and boxing groceries, and providing carry out service
- monitoring, assigning, and performing cart checks
- answering the telephone
- assisting in managing special orders
- monitoring, assigning, and grinding nut butters
- learning product location in all store departments to direct customers
- participating in tagging, facing, rotating, cleaning, markdowns, stocking, and backstock as needed
- working a schedule based on store needs including evenings, weekends, and holidays
- attending mandatory store meetings
- supporting the company mission by being hands-on and flexible in performing duties as required
