Job Requirements
- High school diploma, GED or equivalent preferred
- Experience in retail or grocery environment preferred
- One year of cashiering experience preferred
- One year of supervising experience preferred
- Ability to pass food safety training courses and maintain certifications
- Ability to manage changing priorities
- Excellent customer service skills
- Proficient in MS Word, Excel and Outlook
- Ability to stay focused and maintain a sense of urgency
- Ability to take direction and follow through
- Must be cashier trained and able to count currency
Job Qualifications

Job Duties
- Providing world class customer service and a positive customer experience as the number one priority
- Exemplifying integrity, responsibility, and excellence and adhering to all policies
- Training all cashiers and ensuring cashiers communicate about the {N}Power program with customers
- Notifying customers that we donate 5 cents to the local foodbank for every transaction where a customer uses a reusable bag
- Educating customers on the Nutrient to Know About
- Promoting store seminars and events
- Completing the Daily Sales Report (DSR) and cashier closeout responsibilities
- Issuing and verifying cash drawers
- Handling returns and overrides at the front end
- Addressing customer complaints appropriately
- Ensuring front end sets are full and well-maintained
- Overseeing completion of the front end task list daily
- Maintaining all registers binders
- Directing cashiers to tasks during slow times at the register
- Performing general cashiering and checkout duties including running a cash register, bagging/boxing groceries, and providing carry out service
- Monitoring, assigning and performing cart checks
- Answering the telephone
- Assisting in managing special orders
- Monitoring, assigning and grinding nut butters
- Learning the location of products in all departments to direct customers
- Participating in tagging, facing, rotating, cleaning, markdowns, stocking, and backstock as needed
- Working a schedule based on store needs including evenings, weekends, holidays
- Ensuring a five-day, 40 hours per week commitment and attending mandatory store meetings
- Being hands-on and doing whatever it takes to get the job done and make the company thrive
