Job Requirements
- Must lift/carry product weighing up to 30 lbs horizontally or vertically for distances up to 3 feet for up to 50 hours without mechanical assistance
- must use both hands to move grocery carts horizontally requiring force up to 35 lbs for distances up to 4 feet for up to 50 hours
- comply with company policies and state regulations
- demonstrate dependability and flexibility in scheduling
- have strong communication and interpersonal skills
- maintain attention to detail in handling cash and customer interactions
Job Qualifications
- Be at least 18 years of age
- possess a high school diploma or GED
- have 1-2 years of recent cashiering experience supplemented with leadership training
- demonstrate dependability and reliability
- ability to work a flexible schedule including nights, weekends, and holidays
- exhibit outgoing and friendly behavior with a positive attitude
- ability to operate front end equipment such as registers, calculators, and scanners
- possess good communication skills
- ability to take direction and constructive criticism
- participate effectively in a team environment
- ability to perform repetitious activities
- multitask, prioritize, and stay organized
- strong attention to detail and proficiency with numbers
- proficient in cash handling and mathematical skills

Job Duties
- Ensure excellent customer service through proactively visiting registers and providing direction/support to cashiers and courtesy clerks
- assist in potential customer assistance issues at the register
- assign store sweeps, monitor/maintain cash register supply levels and maintain cleanliness standards in the restrooms and parking lots
- maintain visibility of the exit doors for security and loss prevention issues
- schedule and oversee proper execution of appropriate meal and rest breaks in compliance with company policy and state requirements
- assist in the hiring and training of new cashiers and take necessary steps for disciplinary actions
- thrive in a fast-paced environment by managing cashier team operations effectively
