Job Requirements

Must lift/carry products weighing up to 30 lbs from 36 inches to 24 inches for distances up to 3 feet for up to 50 hours without mechanical assistance
use both hands to move grocery carts requiring a force up to 35 lbs for a distance up to 4 feet for up to 50 hours
be able to work flexible schedules that change with business needs
have reliable attendance
strong interpersonal skills
meet age and education requirements
ability to work in a fast-paced environment

Job Qualifications

Be at least 18 years of age
possess a high school diploma or GED
have 1-2 years of recent cashiering experience supplemented with leadership training
be dependable and reliable with ability to work a flexible schedule including nights, weekends and holidays
show outgoing and friendly behavior with a positive attitude
ability to operate front end equipment including register, calculator, scanner
have good communication skills including ability to take direction and participate in a team environment
able to perform repetitious activities and multitask effectively
strong attention to detail and proficiency with numbers
proficient in cash handling and mathematical skills
ability to read, write and count

Job Duties

Ensure excellent customer service through proactively visiting registers and providing direction/support to cashiers and courtesy clerks
assist in potential customer assistance issues at the register
assign store sweeps, monitor/maintain cash register supply levels and maintain cleanliness standards in the restrooms and parking lots
maintain visibility of the exit doors for security and loss prevention issues
schedule and oversee proper execution of appropriate meal and rest breaks in compliance with company policy and state requirements
assist in the hiring and training of new cashiers and taking necessary steps for disciplinary actions
thrive in a fast-paced environment
