Job Requirements
- Must be at least 18 years of age
- high school diploma or GED required
- 1-2 years of recent cashiering experience with leadership training
- ability to work flexible schedule including nights, weekends and holidays
- ability to operate register, calculator and scanner
- strong communication skills
- ability to multitask and stay organized
- ability to lift/carry up to 30 lbs horizontally and vertically up to 3 feet for up to 50 hours
- ability to push grocery carts horizontally requiring force up to 35 lbs for up to 50 hours
- strong attention to detail
- proficiency in cash handling and math
- ability to read, write and count
Job Qualifications
- Be at least 18 years of age
- possess a high school diploma or GED
- have 1-2 years of recent cashiering experience supplemented with leadership training
- dependable and reliable with ability to work a flexible schedule including nights, weekends and holidays
- demonstrate outgoing and friendly behavior with a positive attitude and ability to interact with customers
- ability to operate front end equipment such as register, calculator, scanner
- good communication skills with ability to take direction and participate in a team environment
- ability to perform repetitious activities, multitask, prioritize and stay organized
- strong attention to detail and proficiency with numbers
- proficient in cash handling and mathematical skills
- ability to read, write and count
Job Duties
- Ensure excellent customer service through proactively visiting registers and providing direction/support to cashiers and courtesy clerks
- assist in potential customer assistance issues at the register
- assign store sweeps, monitor/maintain cash register supply levels and maintain cleanliness standards in the restrooms and parking lots
- maintain visibility of the exit doors for security and loss prevention issues
- schedule and oversee proper execution of appropriate meal and rest breaks in compliance with company policy and state requirements
- assist in the hiring and training of new cashiers and taking necessary steps for disciplinary actions
- thrive in a fast-paced environment
