Job Requirements
- High school diploma, GED or equivalent preferred
- retail or grocery experience preferred
- 1 year cashiering experience preferred
- 1 year supervising experience preferred
- ability to pass and maintain food safety certifications
- ability to manage priorities
- strong customer service skills
- attention to detail
- cashier trained
- computer proficiency in MS Word, Excel, Outlook
Job Qualifications

- experience in retail or grocery environment preferred
- natural foods background is a plus
- 1 year of cashiering experience preferred
- 1 year of supervising others preferred
- ability to pass food safety training and maintain certifications

- cashier trained and able to count currency

Job Duties
- Providing world class customer service and a positive customer experience
- exemplifying integrity, responsibility, and excellence and adhering to all policies
- training and monitoring cashiers including communicating about the store's loyalty program and educating customers
- completing daily sales reports and cashier closeout responsibilities
- issuing and verifying cash drawers
- handling returns and overrides
- addressing customer complaints appropriately
- ensuring front end sets are full and well-maintained
- overseeing completion of front end task list daily
- maintaining all registers binders
- directing cashiers during slow times
- performing general cashiering duties including running a cash register, bagging groceries, and carrying out service
- monitoring and assigning cart checks
- answering telephones
- assisting in managing special orders
- monitoring and assigning grinding nut butters
- learning product locations to assist customers
- participating in tagging, facing, rotating, cleaning, markdowns, stocking, and backstock
- working scheduled shifts including evenings, weekends, and holidays
