Job Requirements
- Must be physically able to perform assigned duties
- Must be able to make beds, bend, stoop, twist, push and pull carts and other physical movements
- Must be able to perform duties in a timely manner consistent with the needs of the residents and cleaning standards
- Must be able to understand and effectively support and apply DRV policies and procedures
- Must be able to communicate effectively with seniors, their guests and DRV staff members
Job Qualifications
- Experience in housekeeping
- Ability to communicate effectively with residents, staff and family members
- Ability to understand and follow instructions in English
- Ability to work with chemicals safely
- Ability to perform simple arithmetic and use a cash register
- Ability to empathize and work with residents, families, visitors, peers, supervisors and subordinates
Job Duties
- Maintain a clean and fresh environment for residents and visitors
- Is responsible for the cleanliness of community as assigned
- Clean resident rooms, common areas, public and staff restrooms, hallways and more
- Making resident beds when needed or assigned
- Performs any of the essential housekeeping duties
- Ensures that cleaning and infection protocols are followed as trained and in policies and procedures
- Perform from moves and discharge cleans as assigned
