Job Requirements

  • Two years of direct customer experience in hospitality or airline industry or four years of customer contact and customer service issue resolution
  • Proficiently speak business level Japanese and read Romaji or Kanji
  • Vertical reach of 82 inches
  • Complete annual FAA-approved re-certification
  • Maintain current knowledge of emergency procedures per airline and FAA regulations
  • Demonstrate strong customer service skills and ability to resolve difficult situations
  • Able to stand for long periods and perform physical duties including lifting 25 pounds
  • Comfortable in swimming and water emergency training
  • Able to secure jump seat harness without extension
  • Successfully complete FAA-approved eight week unpaid training program
  • Able to serve alcohol
  • Able to relocate within Hawaii or continental U.S.
  • Competent in English reading, writing, and speaking
  • Successfully pass tuberculosis test
  • Possess valid passport and necessary visas
  • Legally authorized to travel to countries served
  • Maintain valid travel documents during training and employment
  • Available to work alternative schedules including nights, weekends, holidays
  • High school diploma or GED
  • Minimum age 21
  • Authorized to work in the U.S.

  • Business-level proficiency in Japanese including the ability to read Romaji or Kanji
  • Strong customer service skills and ability to resolve difficult situations
  • Ability to pass FAA-approved eight-week intensive training
  • Physical capability to stand for extended periods, lift 25 pounds, and meet physical demands of flying
  • Ability to swim and handle water emergency training
  • Ability to secure oneself in a jump seat without an extension
  • Valid passport with ability to travel internationally
  • Authorized to work in the U.S.
  • Able to work flexible schedules including evenings, weekends, and holidays
  • Successfully pass tuberculosis test
  • Commitment to professional appearance standards
  • Ability to relocate within Hawaii or continental U.S.

Job Duties

  • Attend preflight briefings to review flight details including weather, route, altitude, emergency procedures, crew coordination, flight duration, and onboard services
  • Prepare aircraft cabin and ensure readiness for boarding and departure
  • Greet guests warmly, direct them to assigned seats, and assist with stowing carry-on luggage
  • Respond to flight-related questions and provide prompt, courteous service throughout the flight
  • Demonstrate the use of safety equipment such as seat belts, oxygen masks, and life jackets
  • Monitor guest compliance with safety regulations and address infractions professionally and effectively
  • Direct and assist guests during emergency procedures including evacuations
  • Administer first aid when necessary and complete written and verbal reports of any emergency or safety-related incidents
  • Provide consistent food and beverage service according to airline procedures
  • Collect and reconcile payments for onboard purchases including meals, alcoholic beverages, and duty-free items
  • Prepare guests and cabin for landing by following established procedures
  • Ensure cabin is secure and assist with deplaning as needed
  • Successfully complete annual FAA-approved re-certification and maintain current knowledge of emergency procedures
  • Collaborate effectively with crew members to deliver a seamless and pleasant guest experience
  • Maintain professionalism and physical readiness to meet the demands of flying and emergency situations
  • Assist ill or incapacitated passengers and crew members
  • Evacuate the aircraft in difficult conditions
  • Operate emergency equipment including oxygen bottles and fire extinguishers
  • Remove and lift emergency cabin windows
  • Jump down emergency slides as necessary
  • Provide a never-ending aloha experience by responding promptly and pleasantly to guest inquiries, requests, and complaints
