Job Requirements
- High school diploma or GED equivalent
- Minimum age of 21
- Authorized to work in the U.S.
- Two years of direct customer experience in hospitality or airline industry or four years of customer contact and issue resolution in related fields
- Ability to speak business level Italian and read Latin script
- Vertical reach of 82 inches
- Ability to complete FAA-approved trainings and recertifications
- Strong customer service skills
- Ability to stand for long periods and perform physical tasks
- Able to lift 25 pounds
- Comfortable with swimming and water emergency training
- Ability to secure in jump seat without extension
- Successful completion of eight-week unpaid FAA-approved training
- Ability to serve alcohol
- Willingness to relocate within Hawaii or continental U.S.
- Proficiency in English
- Successful tuberculosis test
- Possession of valid passport and travel documents
- Legal right to travel to countries served
- Ability to work varied schedules including evenings, weekends, holidays
- Must maintain professional image without visible body art or extreme appearance in uniform
- Must obtain and maintain SIDA badge to work at airport facilities.

- Must proficiently speak business level Italian and read Latin script
- Able to complete FAA-approved annual re-certification
- Strong customer service skills with ability to diffuse and resolve difficult situations
- Able to stand for extended periods and perform tasks involving stooping, twisting, pulling, and pushing
- Able to lift 25 pounds from floor to above shoulder height
- Comfortable in water emergency training scenarios
- Able to secure oneself in jump seat without seat belt extension
- Successful completion of an FAA-approved eight-week unpaid training program
- Able to serve alcohol legally
- Able to relocate within Hawaii or continental U.S.
- Proficient in English reading, writing, and speaking
- Successful pass of tuberculosis test
- Possession of valid passport and travel documents
- Legal right to travel to countries served by Hawaiian Airlines
- Availability to work alternative schedules including evenings, weekends, and holidays

- Preferred college education or degree.
Job Duties
- Attend preflight briefings to review flight details including weather, route, altitude, emergency procedures, crew coordination, flight duration, and onboard services
- Prepare aircraft cabin and ensure readiness for boarding and departure
- Greet guests warmly, direct them to assigned seats, and assist with stowing carry-on luggage
- Respond to flight-related questions and provide prompt, courteous service throughout the flight
- Demonstrate the use of safety equipment such as seat belts, oxygen masks, and life jackets
- Monitor guest compliance with safety regulations and address infractions professionally and effectively
- Direct and assist guests during emergency procedures, including evacuations
- Administer first aid when necessary and complete written and verbal reports of any emergency or safety-related incidents
- Provide consistent food and beverage service according to airline procedures
- Collect and reconcile payments for onboard purchases including meals, alcoholic beverages, and duty-free items
- Prepare guests and cabin for landing by following established procedures
- Ensure cabin is secure and assist with deplaning as needed
- Successfully complete annual FAA-approved re-certification and maintain current knowledge of emergency procedures per FAA and airline regulations
- Collaborate effectively with crew members to deliver a seamless and pleasant guest experience
- Maintain professionalism, recognize and escalate potential issues, and meet physical demands of flying at high altitudes and working varied schedules including evenings, weekends, and holidays
- Provide prompt and pleasant responses to guest inquiries, requests and complaints while aboard the flight
- Assist ill or incapacitated passengers and fellow crew members during emergencies
- Evacuate the aircraft in heavy, dense smoke during a cabin fire
- Access, handle and operate oxygen bottles, fire extinguishers and other emergency equipment
- Remove and lift emergency cabin windows (weighing up to 60 pounds)
- Jump down the emergency slide from height of approximately 24.5 feet
- All duties outlined are essential functions of the flight attendant job.
