Job Requirements

  • High school or equivalent education
  • Must be of minimum age to pour and serve alcohol
  • One year of high-volume bar experience
  • Customer service experience preferred
  • Ability to make requested alcoholic drinks
  • Ability to speak, read, write, and understand primary workplace language
  • Good communication skills
  • Basic computational and computer skills
  • Ability to describe menu items and methods of preparation
  • Ability to notify management of inappropriate guest behavior
  • Knowledge of Ranch operations and policies
  • Strong knowledge of alcoholic beverages and health standards
  • Knowledge of laws and regulations regarding alcohol service
  • Excellent customer service skills
  • Ability to organize, prioritize work, and make decisions
  • Neat, clean, and well-groomed appearance
  • Ability to work in varied temperature conditions
  • Ability to stand for up to 4 hours and maneuver well-paced mobility
  • Ability to lift and handle heavy items as required
  • Flexibility with working hours and on-call rotation

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • One year of high-volume bar experience
  • Customer service experience preferred
  • Experience in fine dining or hotel/resort environment
  • Strong knowledge of wine, beer, liquors, and drink preparation
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Basic computational and computer skills
  • Ability to describe menu items and use suggestive selling techniques
  • Knowledge of health standards and alcohol service laws
  • Ability to organize and prioritize work and solve problems
  • Ability to maintain professional appearance according to Ranch standards

Job Duties

  • Take food and beverage orders from guests in a friendly and timely manner
  • Prepare drinks for guests and servers ensuring proper materials and supplies
  • Ensure that minors and intoxicated persons are not served alcoholic beverages
  • Act as cashier for servers when necessary
  • Provide guests with professional service while maintaining Ranch standards
  • Make all beverages to The Ranch standards and specifications
  • Maintain cleanliness of the bar area including waste disposal and glassware cleaning
  • Provide opening and closing inventory of spirits and complete relevant paperwork
  • Assist in creating seasonal craft cocktails upon approval
  • Assist servers and bartenders when necessary
  • Participate in deep cleaning of the restaurant
