Job Description

The Woodlands Resort, Curio Collection, is a premier hospitality establishment located just 2 miles away from the picturesque Woodlands Waterway in the Houston area. This resort stands out as a perfect retreat for both leisure and business travelers, celebrating its 50th anniversary alongside the growth and development of The Woodlands township. As part of HEI Hotels and Resorts, a respected leader in the hospitality industry, The Woodlands Resort emphasizes a culture that values and invests in its associates, recognizing that their success is driven primarily by the people who work there. HEI Hotels and Resorts is renowned for creating a work environment where associates receive competitive compensation, comprehensive benefits, and unparalleled training and support designed to help them excel in their careers. The company's commitment to inclusivity means that even prospective employees who don’t meet every listed qualification are encouraged to apply, celebrating diversity and valuing military experience.

The role available at The Woodlands Resort involves working as a front-of-house associate responsible for delivering an exceptional guest experience. Key duties include warmly greeting guests upon arrival, offering seating options, and escorting them to their designated tables while presenting menus. Associates must maintain clear and consistent communication between shifts and management by diligently managing daily logbook entries. Ensuring the dining room is perfectly set up and prepared for service is crucial, along with managing reservations and coordinating arrangements for special functions. Regular attendance and reliability are expected traits due to the dynamic nature of the hospitality industry. This position does not qualify for a tipped or discretionary bonus, with a salary rate of $14.00 per hour. The Woodlands Resort provides associates with opportunities for career advancement within the hospitality field, supported by HEI’s extensive network and resources.

HEI’s benefit program offers physical, mental, and financial wellness supports such as medical and dental insurance through leading providers like Anthem Blue Cross Blue Shield and EyeMed Vision, along with vacation, sick, and holiday leave to ensure rest and rejuvenation. Employees can also take advantage of unique offerings such as pet insurance and supplemental life and disability coverage. Further financial security is afforded by a 401(k) savings plan with matching contributions and various employee discount programs. HEI’s commitment to fostering a supportive, resource-rich work environment underscores the company’s philosophy that investing in its workforce is critical to continued success.
