Job Requirements

Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- prior experience in barback, restaurant or hospitality roles is a plus
- ability to multitask calmly and effectively
- effective communication skills
- knowledge of alcohol awareness and safety guidelines
- ability to work flexible hours including weekends
- team player attitude
- ability to stand and walk for entire shifts
- physical stamina to lift and move weights as required
- familiarity with sanitation procedures and safe handling of cleaning solutions
Job Duties
- Stock/restock appropriate areas of the bar with alcohol, glassware, ice and supplies
- arrange and set-up beverages, mixes, garnishes and supplies, and prepare drink mixes
- assist bartenders with sidework, glass washing, bussing and restocking
- assist with busser and food runner duties as directed
- safely and properly change beer kegs, CO2 tanks and soda dispensers
- manually wash and sanitize glassware using a three compartment sink
- account for and maintain the security of all bar stock and inventory
- recognize intoxicated guests, refuse to overserve and notify management of concerns
- understand and respond knowledgeably to questions about the restaurant and menu
- comply with all safety and sanitation guidelines and procedures
- complete alcohol awareness training
- follow all rules, policies, and procedures outlined in the employee handbook
- work in a confined, crowded space with variable noise and temperature levels
- move and lift various weights safely up to 50 pounds
