Job Qualifications
- Able to lift 50 lbs without assistance from the ground to chest level
- able to maneuver packages of any weight above 50 lbs using appropriate equipment or assistance
- able to walk and stand for designated work hours
- able to bend and squat for designated work hours
- able to maneuver packages in enclosed spaces
- able to stack packages above head level if required
- ability to work in all weather conditions
- ability to climb stairs and ladders
- ability to work with power and hand tools
- ability to communicate timely and effectively in noisy environments
- able to read and speak English sufficiently to understand traffic signs and communicate with safety officials
- successful completion of all basic and re-currency training
- compliance with Federal Motor Carrier Safety Regulations Section 391
Job Duties
- Provide movement of packages in a safe and efficient manner
- operate mechanized ramp equipment to load and unload packages
- perform shuttle functions using a non-articulated vehicle
- maneuver packages above shoulder level
- work in all weather conditions as required
- climb stairs and ladders as needed
- perform other duties as assigned
