Job Requirements
- No formal education required
- Must be an HWOA employee
- Ability to obtain Ramp/SIDA badge within 90 days
- Must meet Federal Motor Carrier Safety Regulations Section 391 qualifications
- Ability to work Monday through Friday 5:00 PM - 10:00 PM
- Ability to lift and maneuver heavy packages
- Must pass medical exam in accordance with FHWA or FAA regulations
- Ability to work safely and be alert in all operational conditions
Job Qualifications
- Able to lift 50 lbs without assistance
- Able to walk, stand, bend, squat for extended periods
- Ability to maneuver packages above shoulder level
- Ability to work in various weather conditions
- Ability to climb stairs and ladders
- Ability to work with power and hand tools
- Ability to communicate effectively in English
- Successful completion of basic and re-currency training
- Knowledge of safety regulations and compliance
Job Duties
- Provide movement of packages in a safe and efficient manner
- Operate mechanized ramp equipment to load and unload packages
- Perform shuttle functions using a non-articulated vehicle
- Lift packages up to 50 lbs and maneuver heavier packages with assistance
- Work in all weather conditions and maintain safety protocols
- Communicate effectively in noisy operations environment
- Obtain and maintain Ramp/SIDA badge within 90 days of hire
- Complete all required training including basic and re-currency trainings
- Follow Federal Motor Carrier Safety Regulations and company safety standards
- Perform other duties as assigned
