Job Requirements

  • No formal education required
  • Must be an HWOA employee
  • Ability to obtain Ramp/SIDA badge within 90 days
  • Must meet Federal Motor Carrier Safety Regulations Section 391 qualifications
  • Ability to work Monday through Friday 5:00 PM - 10:00 PM
  • Ability to lift and maneuver heavy packages
  • Must pass medical exam in accordance with FHWA or FAA regulations
  • Ability to work safely and be alert in all operational conditions

Job Qualifications

  • Able to lift 50 lbs without assistance
  • Able to walk, stand, bend, squat for extended periods
  • Ability to maneuver packages above shoulder level
  • Ability to work in various weather conditions
  • Ability to climb stairs and ladders
  • Ability to work with power and hand tools
  • Ability to communicate effectively in English
  • Successful completion of basic and re-currency training
  • Knowledge of safety regulations and compliance

Job Duties

  • Provide movement of packages in a safe and efficient manner
  • Operate mechanized ramp equipment to load and unload packages
  • Perform shuttle functions using a non-articulated vehicle
  • Lift packages up to 50 lbs and maneuver heavier packages with assistance
  • Work in all weather conditions and maintain safety protocols
  • Communicate effectively in noisy operations environment
  • Obtain and maintain Ramp/SIDA badge within 90 days of hire
  • Complete all required training including basic and re-currency trainings
  • Follow Federal Motor Carrier Safety Regulations and company safety standards
  • Perform other duties as assigned
