Job Requirements
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in business or related field
- Proven leadership experience in a multi-faceted operational environment
- Strong financial acumen and analytical skills
- Demonstrated ability to manage diverse teams and foster inclusive culture
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
- Availability to be visible and engaged with all shifts
- Proficiency in basic computer skills
- Willingness to provide recent employment history
- Ability to provide letter of support if currently employed by a Halperns customer
Job Qualifications
- Understanding of core financial trends and performance metrics including sales, margin, expenses, and earnings
- Proficiency with financial statements including income statements, capital requests, and general ledger review
- Ability to develop strategic and long term planning
- Effective decision-making and accountability
- Talent identification, performance assessment, and employee development skills
- Strong communication and presentation skills across diverse groups including warehouse, transportation, sales, and finance
- Ability to build direct, motivating, and inspiring relationships with employees and exhibit servant leadership
- Promotion of cultural diversity within the workplace
- Accessibility and visibility to both day and night shift teams
- Basic computer proficiency including presentation creation, spreadsheet analysis, business writing, and teleconferencing
- Bilingual skills preferred
Job Duties
- Develop annual operating plan in alignment with division and corporate objectives
- Maintain and adjust annual operating plan based on market conditions
- Participate in corporate long range planning by providing market trends and opportunities
- Partner with sales to ensure growth and sales strategies are met
- Manage financial responsibilities including understanding financial reporting and key financial indicators
- Direct leadership development and employee performance monitoring
- Recruit, hire, train, and retain staff while mentoring and motivating the team
- Engage visibly with all shifts and areas of the division
- Collaborate with Home Office to leverage resources and eliminate barriers
- Perform additional duties as assigned
